Hydraulic Bursting

Hydraulic Bursting is one of the safest and most efficient methods of removing reinforced or mass concrete, brickwork, or natural stone.

Holes are drilled into the structure at regular intervals. The Hydraulic Bursters are then placed into each hole in turn. Once in operation, the burster slowly expands under extreme pressure, cracking the material. This then allows the material to be removed in manageable sections.

Key Features of Hydraulic Bursting

  • 3-phase electric machines for internal work – fume free.

  • Virtually vibration free.

  • Very low noise levels.

  • Dust free – perfect for working in finished/live areas such as hospitals, schools and offices.

  • Ideal for refurbishment projects.

  • Suitable for reinforced concrete, mass concrete and stone.

  • Applications include crane bases, beams, piles, walls & floors.
